Heart for Wile E.

Our Perfectly Imperfect Pups' foster dog Wile E. has Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). The ductus arterious (shunt between aorta and pulmonary artery) is open while puppies are still in the womb. When they are born and take that first breath the shunt closes and allows their lungs to inflate with oxygen. PDA is when it does not close at birth. The heart then pumps more oxygenated blood back into the lungs than needed and not enough to circulate throughout the body. He is scheduled to have surgery to repair this at NC State. All profits from this shirt will go back to PIPs to help pay for his and other PIP dogs that need medical attention.
